Catalyst Cash is a personal financial audit app. You control the data you enter. This policy explains what data is processed, how it’s used, and your choices.

Usage metadata (e.g., audit count) if you use a paid API tier.

To render history, charts, and summaries locally on your device.

Catalyst Cash utilizes a revolutionary Direct-to-Provider architecture. If you use your own API key to connect to an LLM provider (like OpenAI or Anthropic), your data goes straight from your physical device to the provider. We have zero servers in the middle. We do not log your math. We do not store your payload. Furthermore, API usage through major providers (unlike standard consumer web accounts) is governed by strict enterprise data agreements that explicitly prohibit your data from being used to train their AI models. Your data remains completely anonymous and utterly under your control.

We do not have a middle-man API to monitor your inputs. You hold the keys, you hold the data.

Encrypted Sync & Backups

Optional cloud sync (Google Drive, iCloud) and manual backups are secured using AES‑256‑GCM encryption. If you set an app passcode, it is used as the encryption key. We cannot decrypt your data; only you hold the key.

Local Storage

Your audits, settings, and rules are stored locally on your device. If you enable device backup (iCloud), Apple may sync app data according to your device settings.

Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data.
We do not share data with third parties except when you request an audit using a third‑party AI provider.

Security

All sensitive data including API keys, tokens, and passcodes are stored securely on your device. We use standard system encryption (Keychain/Preferences) to ensure your credentials remain private.

Your Choices

Use free mode (manual copy/paste) with no API usage.
Clear history or factory reset at any time.
Opt in or out of API Mode.
